I've served on leadership teams for many of the world's most successful fur-free campaigns and on several local foie gras campaigns. Over and over, we've seen the same truth: well-run pressure campaigns are one of the most effective tools we have for securing meaningful corporate policies against animal abuse.
— Lauren, Grassroots Campaigns Director at AAC
Pressure campaigns aren't the right fit for every issue, but when they do fit, they empower small groups of people to create material change for animals in the near term. Some communities are primed for small, winnable local campaigns; others can make a bigger impact by plugging into national or global efforts.
This program helps you identify where your energy will be most effective. Whether you join the Local Track or the National/Global Track, the goal is the same: build strategic, disciplined campaigns that actually win. When you apply to the Pressure Campaigns Program, you will be sorted into either track based on your application.
A structured 10-week cohort designed to take you from zero to running your own local pressure campaigns, similar to AAC's Duck Alliance foie gras campaigns. You'll learn how to research, select, and pressure a target using proven tactics.
This cohort is a great fit if your community is unable to plug into larger campaigns and is looking to start a winnable local fight.
For communities where local campaigns aren't the most strategic path. This track provides needs-based, hands-on support directly with our Grassroots Campaigns Director, plugging you into high-impact national or international campaigns where your time and energy can make the biggest difference.
All participants from both tracks receive access to our Monthly Meeting on the first Tuesday of each month. These sessions feature trainings from organizers running some of the most successful campaigns in the world, sharing research techniques, escalation strategies, and practical campaign tips.
Meetings are held on signal and closed to the public to protect campaign integrity. Please try to attend meetings on your laptop since we will be doing hands on work.
If you'd like only to attend the Monthly Meeting, email meeting@animalactivismcollective.com.
Campaign needs determine your track. A mistake that is easy to make is starting a campaign out of passion or excitement when the local conditions aren't strategic. Pressure campaigns are valuable when they're rooted in strong research, real vulnerabilities, and thoughtful allocation of energy.
From the application, we will assess:
This ensures that no one wastes time on a campaign that isn't set up to win and that everyone is placed where they can make the largest possible difference for animals.
The National/Global Track is often the most strategically powerful role available. Becoming a leader within a coordinated national or international campaign is one of the most impactful things an activist can do. These campaigns have robust research, existing leverage, and clear pressure points, meaning your work contributes directly to wins that affect millions of animals.
You'll be integrated into campaigns that:
This track accelerates your skills, connects you with seasoned organizers, and positions you within campaigns that are already changing global industries.
Animals need advocates everywhere, but some geographic areas simply don't have meaningful leverage over national or global campaign targets. The Local Track builds the leadership skills needed to run effective grassroots campaigns, change the landscape of your own community, and strengthen the broader movement from the ground up.
Local Track participants will learn how to:
This track ensures that no matter where you live, you can create real, measurable wins for animals.
